Pork Osso Bucco - tender braised shank, hazelnut romesco, demi glace, topped with fresh battered buttermilk onion ring and served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. November 2010.
Wine Match: Juan Gil Monastrell. The Monastrell grape (also known as Mourvedre) is thick skinned and produces a fairly big, tannic wine. Usually blended with grenache, this amazing single varietal bottle from the Jumilla region in Spain has deep dark fruit flavors and a great earthiness. It's the perfect wine to toast the return of Osso Bucco! |
